Spring (Pre-Uptime) Checklist

It's getting close to summer, or uptime, and we have been sharing some ways to do a Spring, or Pre-Uptime Check for your units. Now, we want to summarize the tips here, and share the checklist for you as well, let's go!

How do we start the check? 🔍

✅Check and Clean Microchannel Condensers

Do inspection of your microchannel condensers, and see if there are any damages to it, or debris and obstructions that may prevent it from performing well. Ways of cleaning:

  1. Cloth Towel: wipe the outside (airside) with the same direction as the fins.
  2. Brush: use soft-bristled brush to clean stubborn obstructions on the edges
  3. Vacuum: use soft vacuum attachment to suck obstruction from the airside.
  4. Water/Air Pressure: blow from inside (non-airside) to outside (airside), using pressure level below 120 bars, and with at least 15cm distance. If detergents or soap are necessary, use the neutral ones.

✅Inspect the Expansion Tanks

It's important to inspect the Expansion Tanks as plastic can freeze during the cold downtime, and get degraded by the heat and sun/UV exposure during the summer. Check for wear-and-tear or deterioration, if it's significant, replace your expansion tank.

🚨Do a preventative measure: use Expansion Tank Cover to protect your

✅Checking Belt Tensioners

Deteriorated tensioners in your unit may affect the performance of the belts and pulleys. So it could lead to unexpected inconveniences during uptime journeys - let's avoid that, and make sure to check and maintain your tensioners. See if there are any damages, or if they need replacements.

Cool! How can I remember these checks?

If you're asking that, then we have Spring / Pre-Uptime Checklist prepared for you, so you can print it out to assist you while you inspect your units to be ready for the uptime! Download the checklist document below
